Cuddling and Companionship
Held to Heal provides platonic human interaction and connection in a safe, non-judgmental setting. Professional cuddling focuses on the physical aspect of human interaction, while companion services offer social engagement and support in a variety of settings. The two are oftentimes combined in the same session.
- Reduced stress
- Social anxiety support
- Alleviated loneliness
- Sense of connection
Hi, I'm Martin. I'm a 31-year-old Cuddlist-trained professional cuddler. I was drawn to this work after witnessing the alarming amount of mental health complications that come with touch deprivation.
My passion is people and I have always wanted to help them succeed in their journey towards improved health and wellness. I'm naturally empathetic and consider it my calling to provide non-judgmental support and nurture to those who need it.
I'm an 🌈 LGBTQ* friendly ally and inclusive of all genders and bodies.
You deserve to be heard. I listen compassionately. It is my authentic intention to offer you the precious and healing experience of human contact in a relaxing environment.
I've spent the last decade working with people as a certified personal trainer with my business Mobile Muaythai. More recently, I've also been working as a yoga teacher.
Platonic cuddling can take place in a variety of settings, alongside other activities, and is oftentimes combined with other companionship services.
Cuddling can include:
- Holding hands
- Head scratching
- Back scratching
- Stroking hair
- Back massage
- Various cuddling positions
Men are less likely to seek help when it comes to mental health and well-being. While I'm inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations, I am familiar with the unique challenges men face and tend to work with a male demographic.
One hour is only $100. Sessions include hugging, cuddling, lying down, sitting, talking– whatever you need!
Want to see a movie? Play a board game? Run errands? Talk? I would love to have a social experience with you. If you're not feeling up to embracing the world, that's OK– we can stay in too.
Services can include:
- Watching movies and TV shows
- Cooking and dining
- Playing card, video, and board games
- Walking, hiking, and other exercise
- Social outings
- Travel companion
Professional companionship can alleviate loneliness, provide support with managing social anxiety, and can strengthen one’s sense of human connection. Companions can accompany clients in a variety of settings, including day-to-day activities, professional events such as fundraisers, and business trips.
Companion services are available at a rate of $100 per hour.
What to Expect
Professional cuddling is platonic, specifically non-sexual, requires proper clothing, and has certain other ground rules. These policies make it a safe and nurturing relationship.
The first step is easy: we need to connect online. Just fill out my contact form at the bottom of this website and I'll get back to you soon.
We'll meet in a safe space, such as a cafe. We'll spend some time getting acquainted to make sure we're the right fit for each other.
Next, we'll schedule our first session. This is a chance for us to create a cuddling plan tailored to your specific needs and budget. We can do this at the initial meeting or through email.
During your hour-long session, you choose how we cuddle and in what position. I can also provide touch therapy, such as back rubs. After our first appointment, we can schedule sessions whenever you need.
Arousal happens, and it's OK, however, this service is completely non-sexual. Any offer of intimate connection will void the session without refund. Ground rules are clearly laid out and agreed upon by both parties before the first session.
While there are some common practises for platonic cuddling, I encourage you to think about where you'd like to cuddle and in what positions. What kind of touch sensory would be most effective– back rubs, spooning, sitting on the couch?
Always remember: you are in charge of the type of platonic contact. These sessions are designed to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Always think about what you need to make these appointments as effective as possible.
I've helped my clients climb mountains, but don't take my word for it– see what they have to say for themselves!
"Martin was incredibly kind and very accommodating. He made you feel at ease and explained the process very thoroughly. I would highly recommend this unique therapy to anyone. Martin is the perfect guy for anyone willing to give cuddle therapy a try."
"I was first introduced to Martin through a mutual friend of ours who knew I was having a hard time because I have been going through a seperation over the last few months and it was challenging for me.
When Martin set up the appointment with me he was very kind and professional and let me know if I was ever uncomfortable to tell him right away. I was a little awkward at first because it was the first time in a long while having someone else hold me but he had absolutely no hesitation and just KNEW exactly how I needed to be held.
It felt AWESOME! It was the best feeling I had ever had cuddling, there was no pressure, no expectations and he was just so in tune with my needs, he made me feel safe and like I was the only person who's needs mattered at that time.
I wholeheartedly felt so good and cannot wait until our next session, I fully believe in what he does and feel he has such an amazing gift to give the world and hope for many more opportunities to come his way."
